Here it goes! Life as an entrepreneur. It all started with one referral from a good friend to do some interior design work. Working with these folks has been super enjoyable and I have been able to put my passion and experience to good use. So often design work can be done via email from my home office at hours that work for my new life as “mommy” (and it certainly doesn’t hurt me to get out for some adult time when I do need to meet with my clients in person, either).
So after a lot of prayer and discussing with loved ones, I went to the tax collectors office last week to purchase my business license as a sole proprietor and opened a business checking account to make things official. I am really excited to get started- though naturally it’s a little scary to put myself out there! Until things develop a little more, I’m naming myself a “design consultant”… offering services for home interiors & organization as well as logos & marketing materials for small businesses.
Please keep me in mind if you hear of anyone needing these services. My blog is serving as my website (www.jaimelynnbutcher.wordpress.com)- any prospective clients can read more about me on the home page, see my design portfolio (in progress), and also use the website to contact me. Need these services or not… I humbly invite you to follow my blog for more stories about home life and design!
Wishing beautiful things for you and yours,
